G'day L.A

Swimming pools and movie stars....

I have flown into Twilight mania in sunny L.A, where my partner in the Friend of Mine team - Tesh and I are meeting with some press and US agents. I was expecting the need for gloves and beanies not sun dresses and sandals.

The only celebrity siting was Lindsay Lohan at the the Chateau Marmont where I went for cocktails to celebrate my 24th birthday with some other Australian friends. I briefly thought I saw E from Entourage until I quickly dissappointed to realize it was the weather guy from channel 9 news. Oh and not to mention my good mate Johnny (or maybe not after all... haha)

We met up with the lovely LA based Jazzy who is a free lance stylist and blogger for US Teen Vogue as well as her own blog Jazzy McG. She was very sweet and took us out to coffee at Urth Cafe on Melrose and gave us some inside tips to a 'in the know' vintage store in down town LA where I was lucky enough to discover a wild emerald green velvet coat.

I feel in love with Venice Beach. Opening Ceremony exceeded all my wildest expectations where I was in awe of all the beautiful clothing and if you are ever in LA you must try Katsu-Ya for the best Japenese food I have ever tasted.

Next stop New York City....
